"The sculpture collection reflects my perception of the short story The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka." From reading this story and focusing on Gregor's room, during this project I wanted to make his room look sad a depressing. I chose subtle colors and added a pop of color to make it feel sad but also make it stand out from other things in the room. I decided to make the bed frame and headboard into the shape of a cloud because from the story it seemed like he had a lot of issues so I wanted to make it feel like his head was always in the clouds. I made him a cigarette to show that his personality is kind of like what people do with a cig they throw it on the ground and stomp on it.
